Over the past year, we have continued our design support for the Industrial Dwellings Society (IDS), one of the UK’s oldest housing associations that owns and manages around 1,500 properties across London and Essex.
We had the honour of designing their new corporate identity in 2008. Since then, we have supported the housing association in multiple projects, including estate campaigns, stationery, and a brand-new website.
A few months ago, we were presented with the opportunity to design their annual review for 2023/24. This year’s annual report is encapsulated within a 12-page newspaper. As newspapers are familiar formats that people read every day, this format is a friendly and inviting approach to an annual report, allowing highlighting of their yearly review, success stories and areas of improvement in a narrative style that resonates with readers.
The core primary colour palette of blues, greens and yellows combined with a strong typographic structure and informative icons help organise the content into easily-digestable sections.
As community engagement is an important part of IDS’ ethos, we also provided photography services for this project and photographed staff and residents across the estates to help drive the storytelling further. See the annual review here.
We are grateful to have the opportunity to work with IDS with this project and look forward to working with them on more projects in the future.
