We are delighted to announce the recent launch of the Llewelyn Davies website.
Llewelyn Davies is a distinguished architectural and planning practice with over six decades of experience, operating in more than 80 countries. Renowned for its expertise in healthcare design, aviation projects, and master planning, the firm has significantly influenced modern architecture and urban development. As one of our legacy clients, we are proud to have supported them across multiple project needs for many years, offline and online.
About the website
Over the last couple of months, we have collaborated extensively with the Llewelyn Davies team to deliver a new interactive and engaging website that showcases their extensive portfolio across multiple sectors.
The project began with a kickoff meeting to outline key milestones, encompassing research, information analysis, sitemap creation, design, development, and, ultimately, the website launch.
The key objectives
A key objective of the brief was to incorporate more animations and interactive elements into the website, bringing their projects to life on screen. This objective was achieved across multiple areas of the site including the homepage and the new projects archive, which features a combination of video thumbnails, hover functionalities and sliding transitions.
As Llewelyn Davies has such a rich history, we wanted to establish an interactive way users can discover more about Llewelyn Davies extensive legacy. The new ‘About us’ page features an interactive map which highlights the 87 countries Llewelyn Davies has worked in over the last 64 years. The map features tooltips which reveals more information as well as cross-links to the relevant project article pages, encouraging users to browse more of the website’s content.
The project post-type pages also had a UX overhaul and carefully considered content restructuring. The new template structure is now more consistent with a set module list for every page. This combined with clearer titles and distinct text hierarchy create better visual signposting and content navigating for each project.

Creating engaging news and blogs
As part of the brief, we have also led the project delivery of content planning and creation for their new blog post series. These detailed thought pieces cover a range of topics within the field of architecture, including ongoing project progress, architectural trends and innovation, as well as sustainability and technologies that influence design and planning.
Each blog post begins its journey with a collaborative brainstorming exercise as part of the research and analysis stage; and once a theme is an established, a series of questions are generated for a one-to-one interview with the relevant team member at Llewelyn Davies.
As part of this process, we also assist with the generation of visual supportive assets for each blog piece; whether that is through photography or film. We have now conducted and filmed project progress interviews with the Llewelyn Davies team at various locations including University Hospital Lewisham and Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital, with permission from each client.

Launch and continuous support
Once the website build was complete, we migrated the remaining content to the website and conducted rigorous quality assurance tests across multiple devices before launch. The overall result is a modern, website that engages not only prospective clients, but also inspires the next generation of architects to learn more about innovative projects Llewelyn Davies are involved in, inspiring them to start a career at their practice.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration and support Llewelyn Davies with more ongoing projects offline and online. You can discover more about our work with Llewelyn Davies over on this project page.
